FAINTING GOAT ISLAND
Inn
ABOUT
Overlooking my 17 acre island in the Susquehanna River (1 mile east of Tioga Downs Casino, 1 minute off Interstate 86/17 on the NY/ PA border) is the Fainting Goat Island Inn. The proximity of Tioga Downs, Breweries and Wineries, Tioga Country Club, and a gathering of small towns makes this an excellent location for a fun, relaxing place to stay at ..... a step back in time.
The Fainting Goat Island Inn was voted in the Top 3 of USA Today's 10 Best Readers' Choice Travel Awards for the Best Haunted Hotel Category since 2019-
Winning 1st place in the category in 2022 AND 2023!!

"The guestbook is filled with rave reviews peppered with experiences that will send a shiver down your spine. Guests have reported being woken by the voices and visions of two women having tea in the Fainting Room. A child-sized chair has moved beside the bed in the Nubian room, gum balls have spilled onto the floor of an empty hall, footsteps have been heard on a staircase that no longer exists, and eyes have looked back from mirrors. According to a recent intuitive guest, the most active spirit is a little boy. There’s a story about a doll and a knife found in the ceiling and other chilling experiences that the owners are happy to tell on their haunted tour!" - Haunted History Trail of New York State.
Step outside the Inn for a walk around the ample grounds and enjoy the gardens and its many perennials. Bring a book and sit by the river, watch the deer on the island, the ducks on the water, the eagles, and the Pyrenees Mountain dogs. Don't forget to check out the Fainting Goats!!

TESTIMONIALS
"We had an amazing night, especially at your cozy little B&B. I loved the fact its only a few minutes from Tioga Downs. Oh by the way, your ghosts do travel in this room, not as bad as in the hallway! They are friendly, no worries. I heard 2 women's voices by my window around 2am, no one was outside. Thank you for being so kind and sweet to us on our stay. We definitely will recommend you to our friends." - Misty and Chris . October 2019
"What a wonderful place to stay overnight. We woke up very rested, even though there were footsteps back and forth across those beautiful wood floors the entire time. Your rooms are very active. Thanks so much for our great breakfast and your show of hospitality."

"My husband and I had a wonderful time. Marnie and Bill were wonderful hosts. We will definitely go back. The grounds, animals and the river were excellent! Their home is beautiful and welcoming."

"My husband and I absolutely loved our stay on October 31 2022. We had some spooky experiences (which I was hoping for). The owners were great! They told us some experiences others have had. The rooms are beautiful. The cinnamon rolls were fantastic. We will return again."

"We really enjoyed everything from the ghost tour to all the ghost stories. Waking up to fresh bread and cinnamon rolls was amazing. We enjoyed meeting you and had a great time talking to you. We heard foot steps above us and the hubby heard voices and a chain dragging outside on the deck. We will be coming back! Thank you so much!!

This was a wonderful experience. Like a new discovery we found the perfect getaway and it's right down the road. The entire property is gorgeous, including the animals of course! The house has that old inn feel that I just love. CLEAN. NEAT. BEST. PLACE. EVER. Can't wait to go back.

Marnie and Bill are so welcoming and made you feel more like family rather than guests! The rooms are sparkling clean and the bed is so comfortable, it feels like home. The animals are well taken care of , clean and receive lots of love. The property is right on the Susquehanna River with a beautiful view. We had a brief spirit encounter in the parlor , but I’ll leave the details for you to explore yourself. Met another couple from our hometown 2 hours away. Everyone that stayed that night was also ghost hunting which made it exciting. We will definitely return for another adventure! Thank you Marnie and Bill for this great experience!!
